Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Bupples, an expense-splitting app operated by Yousof Selim ("we", "us"), an individual developer based in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. By using Bupples you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Bupples records and splits shared expenses between friends and calculates who owes whom.

> Important: Bupples is an informational record-keeping tool only. It does not process, hold, or transfer money, and it is not a payment service, bank, e-wallet, or money-transmitter. Any actual payments happen directly between you and other people, outside the app.

Pip Pro subscription. Bupples is free to use. Pip Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription (offered monthly and yearly) that unlocks cosmetic and convenience extras. It is billed to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at the price shown at the time of purchase, and it renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Prices may vary by region and may change with notice. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We never receive your card or bank details.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Bupples.

3. Accounts

• You can use Bupples as a guest. Signing in with Google or Apple is optional and backs up your data across devices.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for the accuracy of the amounts you enter.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use Bupples for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or infringing purposes; impersonate others; scrape or attack the service; or misuse other members' information. Be respectful of the people in your sessions.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create (session names, expenses, notes). You grant us a limited license to store and display it to the members of your sessions so the app can work. You are responsible for the content you enter, including other people's names.

6. No financial, tax, or legal advice

Balances and "simplified" settlement suggestions are automated estimates to help you split costs. Verify amounts before paying anyone. We are not responsible for disputes between users over amounts owed or paid.

7. Availability & changes

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bupples is provided without warranties of any kind, and our liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using Bupples and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

11. Apple App Store

If you downloaded Bupples from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. Apple's standard licensed-application end-user license agreement also applies (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula).
